The driving force behind every animal we rescue and every person we help is a deeply personal story of resilience. Our founder, Rajinder Allsikha, was not always a social worker. His life changed forever when his wife, Anju, met with a severe accident. With only a 1% chance of survival, her miraculous recovery became the catalyst for a lifelong vow: to dedicate his life to serving those in distress, just as selfless social workers had helped his family.
This experience taught him that in moments of crisis, compassionate action is the most powerful force on earth. He founded the Bhagat Singh Rescue Team not just as an organization, but as a promise—a promise to be there for humans and animals alike, to provide help without delay, and to embody the spirit of service that saved his wife’s life. This is not just our history; it is the “why” behind everything we do.
